Urgent message-2: re-extension of the deadline (April 15, 2011)!!
March 30, 2011
The situation of the nuclear plant in Fukushima is not under control yet, however, Nagoya won’t be affected by this matter. Transportations including flights in the west area of Tokyo are working on schedule. Therefore, we have decided to keep the original schedule for ICCPB2011. In the case that the congress has to be cancelled (we think it wouldn’t happen), the paid fees will be refunded but with a reduction for handling charge. Although we have already had abstracts over 225 , the deadline for abstract submission and early bird registration has been re-extended to April 15, 2011. We hope that everybody will register and book accommodation before the new early bird deadline of 15 of April.
See you in Nagoya,
Urgent message: ICCPB2011 in Nagoya keeps going!!
March 17, 2011
First of all, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all the people who suffered from the disaster by the major earthquake in Tohoku area.
As reported, the Tohoku area ca. 200-300 km away from Tokyo encountered a gigantic earthquake and tsunami, and many lives have been lost.
However, Western Japan including Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka had little damage. In addition, the currently going most serious accident with the nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture won’t affect Western Japan as the plant is over 400 km away from WJ.
Therefore, we would like to keep the original schedule for the ICCPB2011 held in Nagoya, Japan. Please do not be oversensitive to the reports on the disaster. We believe that Nagoya is a pretty safe place to have ICCPB2011 conference.
We are receiving a number of sympathy letters from colleagues around the world. On behalf of the JSCPB people, we would like to extend our hearty thanks to your kind and sincere concerns to us.
Finally, we would like to ask your prompt registration and abstract submission of which deadline has been extended to the end of March, 2011.
With warmest regards,
Local Organizing Committee of ICCPB2011:
Chair, Masahiro Sokabe, Ph.D.
Vice Chair, Osamu Koizumi, Ph.D.
Vice Chair, Ryohei Kanzaki, Ph.D.
Program Chair, Yoshitaka Fukada, Ph.D.
